RV Description
Up for sale is our 2021 Fleetwood Fortis 36DB with 29,600 miles. This is a 3 slide-out bunkhouse model. This unit is built on a 26,000 lb. Ford chassis, with a 7.3L Godzilla engine, and a 6-speed transmission. If you are looking for a large bunkhouse that could accommodate adult-size sleepers, this one is amazing! We did a lot of research to find a bunkhouse built this nice with this much appeal for a family, a couple who like to RV with friends, or have plenty of space to live on the road.
Starting in the back is the master bath. This has a nice floor to ceiling louver-door closet which is also plumbed for a washer/dryer if you choose to install one. There are towel cubbies, a stainless-steel sink, a macerator toilet, and a large walk-in shower with a skylight. There is also an exhaust fan. Ahead of that is the master bedroom with a king bed, windows on three sides of the bed, overhead cabinets including one for a CPAP machine. A complete wall with two closets, large drawers for clothing storage, as well as a 32 TV connected to its own movie server and a Jensen dual zone stereo system. This stereo can also play to the outdoor speakers built into the rig.
Forward of that is the hallway which contains the double bunk beds. Each bunk has its own windows, USB charging ports, lights, and 7 TVs connected to their own movie server, and has privacy behind barn-style doors. Across the hall is the mid bath. Plenty of storage cabinets as well as a stainless-steel sink and shower/tub combo (Yes... a tub). This bath has an exhaust fan and a skylight. Ahead of that is the living area. The dining table/settee doubles as a fold-down bed for two. Plenty of storage under the settee. This eating area has a large picture window perfect for taking in the view while traveling. Next to that is the jack knife sofa. This also folds down into a bed for 1 large adult or 2 smaller people. Above the sofa is plenty of storage. Across from all of this on the passenger side is the kitchen. This includes a floor to ceiling food pantry, residential fridge/freezer, convection/microwave combo oven, 3-burner gas stove and oven (literally NEVER used), stainless steel farmhouse sink with plenty of drawers for silverware and cooking tools. Above the sink is your dishware cabinet, which also has a 40 Smart TV connected to its own movie server. This movie server is also connected to the outdoor 50 TV, perfect for movie watching under the awning and stars. Over the cab is an electric drop-down queen-sized bed that comfortably sleeps two adults. As for the cab, its extremely comfortable with overstuffed captains chairs. Electric driver-side seat, Sony AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with rear camera. On the left side of the wheel is a three camera, left mirror, rear and right mirror camera system. When driving, I like to know everything is running properly so I installed a digital readout for the cab voltage, the USB voltage, as well as a meter to monitor the inverter voltage while traveling. Additionally, there are two more digital readouts that monitor the two banks of house batteries. This rig also has a solar panel on the roof. The fridge runs off the house batteries and solar when not plugged in and traveling. I have done a few trips from Ohio to St. Augustine on a straight shot, 17 hours, and the fridge/battery/solar/inverter all worked perfectly with plenty of voltage to spare when we got there. This unit also has an Onan 5.5 KW generator, which only has 33.6 total hours on it. About 95% of all lighting inside the rig is dimmable. When traveling, the mid-bathroom is fully accessible; you can run the generator to microwave items, and there is a secondary inverter that passengers can plug into to charge their phones and laptops while traveling. There is plenty of seating while traveling as there is for sleeping (up to 10 comfortably) and if you need to boondock, all beds and bathrooms are completely accessible.
There are two separate furnaces for front and back, both run on the onboard propane. There are two rooftop air conditioners, front and back. There is an Insta-Hot propane water heater. On-board fresh water, grey water, and black water tanks, and an outdoor shower. There is a mountain of room under the rig in the cabinets for storing items like chairs, grills, dive gear, tools, etc.
Tires are in great condition, serviced with synthetic oil every 5000 miles and greased every 5000 miles. The steering stabilizer makes driving a breeze. Reese tow hitch and electric brake controller, wired in dashcam and GPS included. There's also a pet window so your furry travelers can see the sights too. This rig is being sold as turnkey; dishes, silverware, glasses, coffee cups, a stainless Pit Boss Outdoor Grill, an outdoor cooking/grill table, 9x12 outdoor camping mat (like a rug to put your chairs on when you are outside watching TV), an elevated outdoor pet bed, gas line to connect grill to the rig, 3 movie servers with hundreds of movies, bedspreads and additional inverter. Progressive Industries 50-amp surge protector. Extra 50-amp extension cable. Fresh water and sanitation hoses included. Overall, this unit is in great shape, well cared for, and maintained extremely well. We purchased brand new in Feb of 2021, and all factory recalls were completed. Brand new RV cover.
As for issues, I feel there are two. One is that the graphics with gradient color on the outside of the rig have a wrinkle or two; the solid one-color graphics on the rig do not. There are two gradient swoop graphics on each side of the rig, and these graphics with wrinkles can be seen in the last couple of photos. This is obviously something in the manufacturing of the graphics, as it only applies to the gradient and not the solid-colored ones. Additionally, the front grill is cracked in several places, and is a known manufacturing issue. I have fiberglassed it, and it came apart again, so I have it screwed together now. I have purchased a hard plastic honeycomb material and am going to manufacture a new grill. I will provide the new owner with the old grill and the replacement installed; you can always reach out to Fleetwood/REV Industries, as replacement part is still available. The grill can also be seen in the last couple photos.
As for the REAL world, we are a family of 4, two adults and 2 teen boys. There is PLENTY of room for clothing and food. Our longest runs were over 2 weeks, and we never felt on top of each other. Smoke-free. If you pack your food right, you can be out on the road for quite a while. This RV is a comfortable retreat and feels like a home. If you are a veteran RVer, then youll be off and running. If you are NEW to RVing, Im happy to spend a day with you, show you all the ins and outs of the rig, show you how and where we stored things, as well as understanding routine maintenance and winterizing items. RV is in the Akron/Canton, Ohio area. If you have any questions, please reach out.
