RV Description

2016 Tracer air M240 bunkhouse

https://www.jdpower.com/rvs/2016/tracer-by-forest-river/m-240-air/6554060/specs

We have owned this trailer since 2020, we are the second owners. We decided that we wanted more space and so moved on to a 5th wheel, which is the reason for us selling this one. In the time weve had it, I have done many upgrades along with regular maintenance. This trailer is off grid ready, great for the beach or BLM.

Electric system
Depending on how you use it and where you are parked (amount of sun exposure) this system will last indefinitely off grid. Or you can top off with a small generator if needed.

2000w victron inverter
3x100 amp hour battleborn batterys.
Victron mppt solar charge controller.
2x200 rich solar panels
Wires, fuses, disconnects are all top quality.
Soft start for ac (allows the AC to run on a small generator or on a regular 110 home outlet)

Chassis

MORryde shock absorbing suspension equalizers with upgraded shackles and wet (greaseable )bolts
(This is a huge upgrade over stock and massively improves towing and ride quality and safety)
Upgraded stabilizer jacks
Added stabilizer bars to jacks
Replaced manual tongue jack with electric
Goodyear endurance tires
(They are roughly 5 years old now but have been kept shaded and still look good)

Interior

Added under bunk storage area
Gel memory foam mattress from mattress insider
Latex mattress for bunk beds
Baby gate on lower bunk

Exterior

Removed outdoor kitchen, this may seem odd but after many trips we found this kitchen very limited in it's usefulness, and very space inefficient. Having the extra storage for good outdoor kitchen equipment is far superior in my opinion.

Removed the old TV antenna and replaced the plywood,
There was a small leak at this location, it damaged the plywood but never made it any further. This is a common leak location on all trailers with this style antenna.

Solar panels installed on the roof.

Replaced the tiny bathroom fan with maxxair fan

As you can probably see from this list, we upgraded based on how we used it, or what I felt was best for safe towing, and with the intention of keeping it long term. All components are of the best quality that I could find or afford. I am a builder by trade and used best practices for all upgrades.

This is an especially great trailer for people who are new to camping or have young children. We took our second daughter out for her first trip at 3 months. The electric upgrades allow for cameras, noise machines, and bottle warmers to all function off grid. And the baby gate guarantees little ones can't fall out.

This trailer is ready to go camping the moment it's purchased, it will come with every hose, cord, block and chock you need. Simply download a couple apps the take full advantage of the electronics and you are good to go.
