The 2019 AIRSTREAM Nest is a unique trailer among a huge field of small trainers. There is nothing quite like it. It's not just cool-looking, with its ski goggles front window; the Nest's many windows and skylight make it feel more bright and spacious than a 16 foot trailer.

Part of the genius of the Nest 16U design is recognizing that you aren't likely to need sleeping and dining areas at the same time. By forgoing separate dining and sleeping areas, the 16 foot Nest functions more like a 21-foot trailer. The huge U-shaped dinette converts easily to a queen-sized bed.

The storage capacity of the Nest is also much greater than its size would indicate. It has as much storage as many 25 foot trailers with its 2-foot wide closet, 42-inch kitchen counter/cabinet in addition to the 42" stove and sink area. It also has large storage compartments under the dinette benches. Nothing its size has similar storage capacity.

Other features include on-demand water heater, wet bath with built-in features, a decent sized refrigerator, ducted heating and Dometic AC. The AC is located just outside the bathroom door. It has a heat strip that's really nice to step under when exiting the shower.

Now that we are both retired, we plan to take some extended trips. We debated long and hard over replacing the Nest with a larger trailer. As noted, the Nest feels much larger than its 16 foot length. We will miss the Nest. There really is nothing quite like it.

In addition to the usual accessories, other items included with the sale include a replacement jack that can be raised or lowered with a drill as well a hand crank (the original jack will be included). This jack enables you to put your pickup's tailgate down without hitting it. (The tail gate rests directly on the stock manual jack.) Also included is a sun screen that attaches to the awning. This is a great accessory! It cuts the glaring sun sneaking under the awning in the early morning and late afternoon, making it much more comfortable. The sink faucet has been replaced with a high arch design that makes washing dishes a lot easier. An 8-inch Tuft and Needle mattress (the same manufacturer Airstream used in 2019) is also available.
