The Onan diesel generator uses fuel from the main diesel tank instead of LP. This means you have a much larger fuel supply available for generator operation without having to rely on a separate propane tank.

I've personally seen 16–17 MPG with these smaller Mercedes diesel motorhomes running 65–70 MPH on the interstate. Actual mileage will vary with conditions and driving habits.
