2020 Tan Revel with Powered Door (Best model for Dog Owners)

Love the Revel, but we now live where I would normally take the van. It just doesnt get used enough, so I think its time to pass it on to someone who can enjoy it. This model is well suited for dog owners (see the reasons below).

I think the 2020 is the best model year for the Revel, and here is why.

1. True 4WD - This is one of the few model-years on the newer VS30 Sprinter chassis with true 4x4 as opposed to AWD. That means a low-range transfer case well suited for steep, rocky terrain. I took this van to places that surprised Jeep Rubicon owners.
2. Motorized door - This is the only Revel on the newer VS30 Sprinter chassis that includes a powered sliding door. This is great if you have a pet who wants to jump out as soon as you arrive. Or if it starts raining and you dont want to get up. The 2020 has the newer version of the Mercedes dash (10 inch MBUX touch screen. Android Auto, Apple Carplay)
3. More garage space - If you are hauling a lot of gear, the 2020 has WAY more space in the back. I did the math once. It was something like 20-30% (the new vans take up a lot of the garage with water tanks and lithium batteries). This gives you the ability to have two rows of bench seats, rather than one, so you can comfortably seat 4-6 people in the back.
4. Extra bed - the front bench seat in the 2020 can be reoriented into a spare bed. Great for kids or even a puppy.
5. Flat bench seat - I dont love the tilted seat in the new versions because I cant put my feet up from the captains chair. But I can in the 2020. Also, dogs are more comfortable on the flat seat.
6. Flip up kitchen space - Unlike the new model years, the 2020 has extra kitchen counter space on a hinge. You dont have to pull out an auxiliary table from under the bench seat.
7. Extra seat in the front cabin - if you pull down the spare bed structure, it gives you an extra place for someone to sit in the front cabin. That means you can comfortably seat five in the front. And with the larger garage giving you another 4-6 people, the 2020 model allows you to seat 9-11 people, which Ive done in major rainstorms at campsites.
8. Extra counter space for outdoor table - the spare bed structure also doubles as extra space to put food and kitchen items when you are eating on the outside table.
9. Flip up table - The table next to the bench seat conveniently flips up and down, which I prefer over the newer models where you have to store the extra counter space separately.
10. Power under the bench seat - The 2020 allows for the Roamrig batteries to be under the bench seat, so you dont have to listen to the hum under your bed. This van has the Stage III, which is 630 ah. I defer you to Roamrigs site, but I believe they estimated the A/C run time to be 8-12 hours. I never needed it that long, so I didnt test it. I used it to keep my dog cool when I went into a store.

This Revel is a 2020 tan model. Modifications include:

1. Roamrig Stage III Lithium and alternator package
2. VanTop rearview mirror camera - A must have for a van. Includes rear and front views.
3. DroneMobile alarm system - Includes two long range remotes. Also works with the cloud, so you will be alerted on your phone if the van is tampered with.
4. Raven Connected Dashcam - This unit has both inner and outer facing cameras and allows you to check on your pet when you are away. It is connected to the vans computer system, so it also displays additional information about the van, and it has an altimeter.
5. Weboost cell phone booster - mounted behind the driver seat and switched on the Roamrig panel. I spent a summer on a mountaintop in Colorado, getting around 65 Mb/s down through the Weboost.
6. Steelie Dash Mounts in four locations. These will hold your iPhone using MagSafe.
7. Foam mattress pad for the bed
8. Tow hitch step
9. Exterior Window Covers - Great if the van is parked in a sunny area. They also include screens, so you can leave the front two windows down without bugs getting in.
10. Upgraded horn - The 2020 model had a characteristically weak horn so I beefed it up.

All recalls have been completed. To my knowledge, everything is working properly on the van. I had a transmission service and a Mercedes Dealership inspection completed on October 19th.

Odometer is 48,914 miles. Technically, I'm the second and fourth owner. I missed it so I bought it back. But now I live in a mountain forest, so I just don't take it out much anymore.
