This Unity FX has been thoughtfully updated in the areas that matter most when actually traveling and camping. Rather than simply listing equipment, here is what the major upgrades mean when you're using the coach.

Updated for More Capable Off-Grid Travel

200Ah Battle Born lithium battery bank + Victron 2000W inverter

The original electrical system in this generation of Unity used conventional coach batteries and a 1,000W inverter. This coach has been upgraded to two Lithium 100Ah Battle Born LiFePO4 batteries and a 2,000W Victron inverter.

Why does that matter? Lithium provides more usable battery capacity, maintains voltage better under heavier loads and does not require the maintenance associated with traditional flooded lead-acid batteries. The larger 2,000W inverter also makes substantially more 120V equipment practical from battery power when shore power isn't available.

400W rigid solar system

Four rigid 100W BougeRV panels replaced the earlier-generation roof-mounted solar equipment. The rigid panels provide 400 watts of solar capacity to replenish the lithium battery bank while camping or stored outdoors.

Together, the 400W solar, 200Ah lithium battery bank and 2,000W Victron inverter make this a much more capable coach for camping without electrical hookups. (aka Boondocking)

Upgraded charging system

A Kisae DC-DC converter provides controlled charging of the lithium house batteries while driving. A Xantrex ECHO charger allows the solar system to maintain the Mercedes chassis battery while the coach is stored outside.

One of the Best FX Upgrades: Open Transom Windows

On the original FX design, the stored Murphy bed covers the transom windows above the front lounge. The windows are accessible only when the bed is lowered.

This Murphy bed has been professionally modified so the factory transom windows remain exposed while the bed is stored. The difference is immediately noticeable: more natural light, a more open-feeling lounge, and windows that can actually be opened for ventilation during the day.

It's one of those modifications that's difficult to appreciate from a specification sheetbut very easy to appreciate once you're sitting inside the coach.

Chassis & Handling Upgrades

Bilstein rear shocks + Hellwig sway bar 2023

These upgrades improve control and stability compared with the original suspension setup, particularly in crosswinds, highway driving and when passing or being passed by larger vehicles.

Factory-installed four-point leveling system

No need to manually level the coach at a campsite. The 2019 model year was the first year LTV offered the four-point leveling system as a factory option.
