Jayco Melbourne 24L class C motorhome; This comfortable efficient motorhome is built on a Mercedes 3500 sprinter chassis which has a 3.0 liter turbo diesel which offers plenty of power as well as an average of 13 miles per gallon fuel efficiency which is significantly better than the majority of other class C motor homes.
The unit specs are 24 10 long, 94 inches wide, 11 5 in height at the AC unit. it has a GVWR of 11,030 lbs. it has a 5000 trailer hitch rating. it has a fuel tank of 26 gal.
43 gal fresh water tank, 32 gal gray water and 30 gal black tank along with a 9.8 gal propane tank.
This one can sleep four people, two on the rear queen bed and a cab-over bunk rated for seven hundred fifty lbs. It has one large slide out, a fourteen foot power awning with LED lighting. a 13,500 BTU air conditioner, a 30,000 BTU furnace and a 6 gal gas-electric water heater.
This unit is unique from other Jayco Melbourne 24L units in that it has been remodeled inside. updated features are added insulation on the floor, some walls and the slide. new laminate plank flooring, custom paint with gold colored hardware, new backsplash. There are two comfortable recliners in place of the traditional u shaped dinette. The power system has been updated with 800 watts of solar on top, feeding two mppt charge controllers to maintain the double AGM house batteries. This system feeds into an Ecoflow Delta pro power station thru the Ecoflow 800watt alternator charger. This allows running the 120volt items without the need to start the Cummins Onan 3600 watt propane generator which is there incase of extended cloudy day camping if needed. It is very nice being able to camp without generator noise. This system also allows running the refrigerator on electric while driving which is added safety since it is a typical recommendation to have the propane turned off while driving.
Their are also new LED lights above the beds and recliners and above the kitchen sink which are wired with light dimmers which is nice for evenings when lower ambient lighting is desired. While there is still the factory two burner propane stove, i have typically cooked on a electric induction hot plate which allows not burning propane in the living space. On back there is a fold down cargo rack which is perfect for carrying tool box, firewood or whatever accessories desired.
