Were selling our 2011 Fleetwood Discovery 40G. This is a hard one for us to let go because weve really enjoyed owning it and have taken good care of it over the years.

It has 36,800 miles and is powered by the 380 HP Cummins diesel with an Allison transmission. The 40G bunkhouse layout has worked really well for us, especially because theres so much room inside and plenty of storage.

Weve tried to keep the coach in the condition wed want to find one in ourselves. It has been covered when not in use, the tires have been covered, and weve kept up with maintenance and general upkeep. Everything is working as it should.

Weve put some money into the coach during our ownership, including:

• Six new Renogy 100Ah lithium house batteries

• Two new chassis batteries

• New windshield wipers

• LED lighting inside and outside

• Ceramic coating in 2021

The lithium batteries have been a really nice upgrade, particularly when camping without hookups.

The thing we like most about the 40G is how much usable space it has. With the slides out, it feels much bigger than you might expect from a 40-foot coach.

It has a full-size residential refrigerator with an ice maker and water/ice dispenser, washer and dryer, three air conditioners, a large kitchen, opposing seating in the living area, and a good-sized bathroom and bedroom.

The bunkhouse has two beds, with a TV for each one. There are also TVs in the living room and bedroom.

Theres a lot of cabinet and storage space throughout the coach, and the basement storage is one of the things that makes longer trips much easier.

The coach is set up for flat towing with Roadmaster equipment and is rated to tow up to 10,000 pounds.

Weve found the exhaust brake particularly useful in the mountains and on longer downhill grades.

We also have a Roadmaster tow bar that is available separately.

Were not looking to make this sound like a brand-new motorhome. Its a 2011, and there are some normal signs of age, but it has been well cared for and has been a very good coach for us.

The main reason were selling is simply that its time for us to move on to something different. Wed rather see it go to someone who will use it and enjoy it than have it sitting around.
