Weve really enjoyed our 2023 Grand Design Imagine XLS 17MKE, and its been a great camper for us. It has about 5,000 miles on it and has been well cared for. Its a terrific sizeroomy and comfortable once youre set up, but still compact enough that towing and getting into campsites is relatively easy.

One of the things weve liked most about the 17MKE is how well Grand Design used the space. The rear kitchen has a surprising amount of counter and storage space for a camper this size, with everything you need for cooking while youre on the road. The large windows bring in plenty of light and make the interior feel much more open than youd expect.

The living area is comfortable and works equally well for relaxing in the evening, watching TV, reading, or just enjoying a rainy day at the campground. The queen Murphy bed with a Beddy and foam topper is especially nice because you get a real, comfortable sleeping area at night without having the bed take up the living space all day. During the day, it folds away and gives you additional seating and room to move around.

The bathroom is another area where this camper feels bigger than it is, with a good-sized shower and plenty of usable space.

Outside, theres a power (new) awning that creates a nice shaded outdoor living area, along with exterior storage for chairs, hoses, cords, and the other gear that inevitably comes along with camping.

What weve appreciated most is that the 17MKE hits a really nice sweet spot. It doesnt feel like youre hauling a huge travel trailer behind you, but once youre parked and set up, it feels surprisingly spacious and comfortable inside.

It has plenty of adventures left in it. Wed love to see it go to someone who will enjoy it as much as we have.
