EVERY TRAILER HAS A STORY. THIS ONE HAPPENS TO BE PART OF MINE.

Im selling this 2008 Coachmen Captiva 28', which has been set up beside my sisters home, connected to power and in regular year-round use for the past five-plus years.

I live out of state, and when the COVID crisis began, so did my five-plus-year journey of traveling back and forth to Michigan to join my sister in caregiving for our mother. During that time, family generously gave us the use of this trailer, asking nothing in return.

Over the years that followed, the trailer became my year-round home away from home right next door to my sister, giving me a comfortable place to stay, a private office and workspace, and a place to recharge while remaining close by to help care for Mom. It was truly a blessing during a difficult chapter in our familys life, and Ill always be grateful for the generosity that made it possible.

Now that chapter has come to an end, its time to find the trailer its next home.

PRICED TO SELL QUICKLY

The interior has been refreshed and now feels bright, clean and ready for someone to add their own finishing touches. Visible areas previously affected by moisture have been cleaned and repaired. However, this is an 18-year-old trailer, and the exterior and mechanical systems need evaluation, maintenance and repairs.

The trailer has not been professionally verified as watertight, and water leaks may remain or recur.

Knowing the trailer needs some TLC, maintenance and repairs, Ive priced it to sell quickly in its current condition and hopefully give someone else the opportunity to make good use of it.

For someone handy or with access to the right skills and resources, this is an opportunity to buy at a price that reflects the work needed, make the necessary repairs and improvements, and end up with a much more valuable and enjoyable trailer.

During the five-plus years I stayed in the trailer, I primarily used it for living, sleeping and office space because my sisters house was right next door. The refrigerator and microwave were regularly used. I did not use the trailers water system, sinks, toilet, shower, stove or oven, so those appliances and systems should be inspected and evaluated before use.

The trailer has been towed locally several times within the past year. Im not an RV technician or mechanic and am not representing its current roadworthiness. Tires, running gear, exterior and mechanical systems should be properly evaluated before towing or regular use.
