RV Description
The Safari Continental 40 is a Class A motorhome, with a 3126 Caterpillar 6-cylinder diesel motor (pre-def) and 6 speed automatic Allison transmission (w/jake brake) on a Magnum chassis that starts, runs and handles well. I am the 3rd owner, with 90,000 miles. We bought the RV in 2020, from Colorado, with the original owner in Florida. Solid cherry wood cabinets, 2 burner stove, 2 basin sink in a solid surface countertop. Jack knife sofa, and new dinette in the Living Room, with a single slide out that works well. The brakes, coach batteries, tires, airbags, 1 Rooftop AC unit, roof membrane and exterior paint were replaced in 2021/2022. A complete servicing of fluids and filters in 2023. New flooring and interior fabric was also installed. The slide out Onan generator works well, and has 680 hours showing. VinLytics report available, shows no issues, no accidents or recalls.
Components of the RV that might need attention are the cracks in each of the windshields, replacement of the Hot water cabin heater, ice maker, and some blisters in the exterior paint. The fuel supply hose may need replacement, as air seems to enter into the system after sitting over the winter. We bought a 5th wheel, so we would like to pass this RV on to a family who will use it. The RV is located at the Christopher Run Campground near Lake Anna, Virginia.
