2000 Newell Bus #540 Indy Champ Owned
Rare 45-foot, double-slide Newell coach custom built for Indy champion Al Unser Jr. This mid-entry, bath-and-a-half coach is powered by a Detroit Diesel Series 60 with Allison 6-speed transmission, Kohler 20K generator, two-stage Jake Brake, Smart Wheel, and Silver Leaf iPad engine/systems monitoring.
Currently used monthly by our radio company as a live event remote broadcast studio, this coach is not sitting idle it runs, drives, and performs exceptionally well. Recent service and upgrades include eight new Michelin XZE2 tires with 365 steer tires, fresh oil changes on the Detroit Diesel and Kohler generator, serviced slide hydraulics, slide-out seal replacement, Aqua-Hot service, new passenger seat, and fresh leather on the drivers chair and couch.
Inside, the coach presents beautifully with Bose sound, new front TV, Jenn-Air side-by-side refrigerator, Fisher & Paykel dishwasher, garbage disposal, stacked washer/dryer, heated tile in the kitchen and both bathrooms, cold and quiet basement air, power bed lift storage, working air doors, and a full separation curtain that creates a second bedroom when the couch is converted.
