For Sale: 2018 Ram 3500 / 2021 Northstar 850SC Reliable, Tested Rig ($55,500 for both, $24,000 camper only)

This is a well-maintained, turn-key rig engineered for stability and mechanical efficiency. I am the second owner of the 2018 Ram 3500, having purchased it as a low-mileage personal vehicle at 47,000 miles. To optimize the truck for hauling, I had the differentials professionally re-geared to a 4.10 ratio. This upgrade allows the 6.4L Hemi to stay in its power band much more effectively, reducing transmission hunting and making highway cruising much smoother. I am the original owner of the 2021 Northstar 850SC and have focused on making it a reliable basecamp for adventures. Both the truck and camper have been stored in a fully enclosed building when not in use, preserving the seals and exterior from the West Texas elements.

This rig is a proven traveler. It has spent time hauling a trailer with a Jeep rock crawler to trails in Moab, the Colorado mountains, and across Texas. The 4.10 gearing was essential for these trips, providing the mechanical advantage needed for mountain passes and highway speeds under load. It offers a simpler, low-maintenance alternative to modern diesel builds while maintaining the reliability needed for long-distance trips.

We are currently at a stage in our lives where we simply don't have the time to use the rig as intended, and we have decided to step away from the camper lifestyle for now. Because of this, we want to see it go to an owner who can take advantage of the technical upgrades and the "no-DEF/no-DPF" simplicity of this heavy-duty Hemi build.

The camper has been upgraded to focus on reliable 12V DC power and refrigeration. I replaced the standard 3-way fridge with a Dometic 12V compressor fridge, which cools consistently without the need for the camper to be perfectly level. To support this, I installed a 100Ah SOK Lithium battery and 200W of solar. This system easily handles the fridge, lights, and fans. The rig is also pre-wired for a Starlink Mini with a custom power supply and external marine port (note: Starlink dish and service are not included). There have been zero leaksplumbing or weather-relatedand no evidence of mice or rodents ever being present.
