We call her Pandora's Tent a family name, and it fits. She came to us with one mission: drive from Texas to Alaska. We did a full dry run (TX CA FL TX) to prove she could do it. She could. Life had other plans.
THE INTERIOR is where she stands apart from anything on a dealer lot. The floor plan was designed by us and built by hand my husband and his father. 100% hardwood throughout no laminate, no shortcuts. Light wood is Anigre (Pouteria altissima), dark wood is Peruvian Walnut (Juglans neotropica). Countertops feature hand-chiseled butterfly inlays in contrasting wood. New botanical wallpaper throughout not a single original interior surface remains visible.
UPGRADES: Bilstein steering stabilizer, front and rear Bilstein shocks, rear sway bar, front sway bar, rear suspension airbags, Front Sumo Stoppers, brake lines flushed, transmission fluid flushed, rear diff fluid changed, steering fluid changed, cooling fluid changed, spark plugs serviced, ethanol-free fuel. KNOWN ITEMS: Front windshield cracked (needs replacement, ~$400-800). Front AC original and aging but functional. Rear lights need fuse replaced. Generator pump needs replacement. Awnings will eventually need replacing.
