2020 Airstream Basecamp 16X Electrified
Full conversion from propane to battery. Will run the air conditioner or heat overnight without any shore power and recharge from the added solar panels or any electrical outlet. Excellent condition, purchased used from an Airstream dealer 1.5 years ago and had new tires installed at that time. Includes the X package with off road tires and additional solar glass and front chip guards. Best of everything on all components including Victron Inverter/Charger, solar charger, and Battery Monitor and Battle Born Lithium Ion batteries. 24V battery system runs in parallel with the factory 12V system which remains completely stock as wired from the factory. All 12V items like vent fans and lights still run off of the 12V system. System automatically switches between battery and shore power to charge the 12V system and provide power to all AC outlets and appliances like the air conditioner and microwave. Full remote monitoring allows you to see discharge rates and expected run timer with a free Victron mobile app. Updates include Removal of Truma heat and hot water LP system and replaced with electric space and water heater. Replacement of the LP cooktop with an electric 2 position cooktop. Seven 50 Amp Hour Battle Born24V Lithium Ion batteries provide 350 Amp Hours of capacity (same as 700 Amp Hours on a 12 volt system) and the efficiency of the 24V system is superior to that of 12V. Inverter/Charger has been mounted outside the living area to eliminate the inverter fan noise from the interior of the camper. It resides where the two LP tanks were previously located, protected from the weather in a fan cooled enclosure. 200W of Reynogy flexible solar panels have been added to the roof and are mounted with penetration free adhesive to ensure no possible water leaks. One of a kind, only reason we are selling is that we decided to move to a larger camper. GVW remains unchanged at 3,500 lbs. Approx 130 Lbs of LP equipment were removed and replaced with approx. 392 lbs of electric components, consuming approx. 262 Lbs of the available 800 Lb cargo capacity. All weights are estimates based on manufacturer specifications. Electrified basecamp 20s from the factory have MSRPs of over $80K and the package isnt even available on the 16 model. Truly a one of a kind boondocking or cord free machine! I will include the integrated dual cam sway control weight distribution hitch and trunnion bars as the mounting points have been custom fitted to the camper frame. Title in hand.
