RV Description
This 2018 COACHMEN PURSUIT PRECISION is a Class A motorhome featuring the 27DS (double slider) trim. The interior is in excellent condition and the exterior is in very good condition given its age, with a couple of minor blemishes.
I am the 2nd owner. The first owner had it for one year and installed solar panels, house batteries and inverter for off-grid sustainability. He also installed a towing brake indicator. (He then bought a Class B- I guess he was done tinkering with this one!). I installed a sway bar to improve driving control and an inline winterizing air pump system.
We bought this specific model because it was the perfect size for a retired couple, featuring a camper king size bed(!). It's big enough for long term camping but the 27' size meant we never towed a car; we could drive the RV into town or anywhere.
The TV is across from the sofa for a home-like viewing position (we found it uncomfortable to watch side-mounted TVs in other models). We liked putting an Apple TV streamer behind the TV and running the service with a Starlink system which we store and operate out of one of the exterior storage bins which has 120V thanks to the solar/inverter installation. (We could discuss including the Starlink with the RV.). The RV also has a directional TV antenna on the roof and HDMI wiring to send shows to the bedroom or outside TV.
The kitchen is compact and works well- we drove cross the US three times and made most of our meals in the RV. The kitchen appliances all work as expected; the microwave is about as powerful as our home's, the hot water heater can be run on gas or electric, and the A/C was strong enough for summer camping in the South. Kitchen storage was ample for food, cookware, dishes etc.
The bathroom shower is nicely sized- I can reach out both elbows when inside. We put a clothes hanging rod in the shower for bathing suits and such.
The camper-king bed is possible because of one of the two sliders (the other extends the kitchen/dinette). Clothes closet and drawers are next to a double wood sliding door (not a flimsy curtain)- nice for privacy. The bedroom also has a TV.
Storage- there are cabinets above the cockpit (which descends into a full-size bed if needed at night). Cabinets above the sofa; kitchen area above sink and frig, and the bedroom clothing area. Outside has locking storage bins, including a shallow pass-through at the rear. for long tools, golf clubs etc. and a cabinet that can be accessed from inside the unit (handy for extra kitchen supplies).
The 'truck' components have been maintained on schedule and recent oil change. Tires are original but still have some years left I'm told.
