One of the biggest selling points of the 240RE is its mid-profile design. Weighing in with a GVWR of approximately 8,243 lbs and a hitch weight of around 1,350 lbs, it is one of the few fifth wheels that can be comfortably towed by many modern well-equipped half-ton trucks (like an F-150 or Silverado 1500 with a Max Tow package).

Aerodynamics: The gel-coat fiberglass front cap is designed to cut through wind, which improves fuel economy and reduces “sway” compared to flat-front travel trailers.

Premium Rubber: It comes standard with Goodyear Endurance tires.

The “RE” in 240RE stands for Rear Entertainment, and Forest River has maximized this space with clever engineering.

The Secret Pantry: Behind the large LED TV and fireplace is a massive, walk-in style storage area (often referred to as a “hidden” pantry or hobby room). This allows you to keep the main living area clutter-free while still having room for bulk groceries, small appliances, or camping gear.

Residential Feel: Despite being only 31 feet long, the layout feels massive thanks to the large slide-out that houses a tri-fold sofa and a freestanding dinette. It swaps the cramped “camper” feel for a high-ceiling, residential lounge.

Serviceability: Most RVs have a sealed underbelly that you have to cut open to fix a leak. The Impression uses removable underbelly panels, making maintenance significantly cheaper and easier.
