RV Description

Full time, off grid ready 36ft Monaco Diplomat. "Bill the Bus" successfully completed 3 round trips from east-west coast with minimal mechanical issues. We renovated the interior of the RV, replacing all carpet with hardwood, removing all the mirrored walls, repainting, and basically giving it the feel of a cozy cottage instead of an RV from the 90's. The living room has a new couch, entertainment cabinet, tv lift, upgraded (electric) fridge cooling unit, and dishwasher!

I installed over $6000 worth of electrical upgrades to make the bus comfortable of full time off-grid living. With 1000W of solar panels, 270AH of Lithium, a 6500Kw Diesel generator (runs off the main 100 gallon tank), and a 3000W Victron Multiplus Inverter/Converter, this RV is not just capable of never being plugged in, its built for it. We worked full-time remote jobs over starlink in the middle of the most remote parts of the country without any issues. Airfryers, the microwave, computers, and coffee machines can all be safely operated off of the batteries and most of the outlets in the RV work while the bus is unplugged. The enormous generator can the AC and charge the batteries while using about 1 gallon of diesel per hour. The limiting factor is water and the stock 100 gallon tanks will comfortably last about 1 week for two adults taking navy showers.

The 400hp (upgraded) engine is still pretty low mileage for a Cummins diesel, and I had the engine thoroughly serviced last year after its one and only engine issue was fixed. The bus easily climbs from Arizona into Utah at about 55mpg while towing a Jeep. The engine brake is fantastic and makes descents low stress and low wear on the air brakes. The tires were all replaced 4 years ago and the engine and generator have receive regular annual maintenance. Leveling system is good, and slides work well although the rear slide sometimes needs a gentle push to help it go out. The rv has never been in an accident. Title is clean and ready for transfer.

Bill is 26 years old now, so expect some flaking paint and some quirks. The rear AC unit is currently not working. The rear AC itself does work, however the control line from the thermostat needs repair. The front AC unit is capable of cooling the whole RV unless you are parked in direct sunlight and its hotter than 90F outside.

Comes with all the RV accessories, hoses, organizational bins, cleaning supplies (if you want them). If you are interested, I'm also selling the tow bar, starlink dish, 30ft 65db cell booster, and the 2019 jeep wrangler that I pulled behind this RV (already configured for towing).

I'm moving to Argentina this year, and can't take Bill with me so I'm here looking for a new home for him.
