RV Description

2011 Pleasure Way Excel TS. Very good condition, much better than my physical condition! I am selling because I'm recovering from my third back surgery, and my old body just can't manage the camping lifestyle anymore. MIleage: 61,500. The chassis is the Ford E-350 Heavy Duty Cargo Van with the solid 5.4 L Triton V8. Average gas mileage over 11,000 miles: 15.2 mpg on regular gas. See recent service video. https://app.truvideo.com/v/jsBgyEJv

I purchased in April 2021 and concentrated on the mechanical service and upgrades that would make this RV last me for a very long time. I live in Stow, Ohio. I've driven it to Michigan, Kentucky, North Carolina, several times to the New York finger lakes region, Pennsylvania, and all over Ohio. With the chassis upgrades and the tires, the van drives very well. I have kept the van garaged the entire time that I've owned it.

Tank capacities in gallons: fresh water: 30; grey water: 26; black: 12; propane: 10; hot water: 6.

The van has swivel front passenger seat; two removable tables (one front, one rear); self-contained interior window curtains; power leather couch that folds into a bed; two side bench seats; wet bath with toilet, sink, and shower; 6-gallon hot water heater; 2 burner propane stove; nice 3-way fridge; very good storage for dishes, clothing and food; outside storage for mats and sewer hoses; rear under-couch storage for water hoses, camp chairs; good-sized convection microwave; Corian counters; stainless steel backsplash; hardwood cabinetry; propane furnace; A/C; new super quiet Onan QG2800i generator ($3,000); backup camera with rear-view mirror screen($750); Roadmaster Active Suspension (RAS)($629); Roadmaster Heavy Duty Front Sway Bar($916); new Michelin Agilis CrossClimate tires ($1,234); recently-replaced brake fluid($175), transmission fluid($320), coolant ($180), new chassis battery($210) and more.

The new on-board Onan generator is a game-changer. It's quieter than the National Park standards. It's even quieter than my friend's portable Honda generator. The generator starts with a push button inside the van and runs off of the van's gasoline tank; so run-time is as long as your tank is full. It will use about one gallon at half-load in five hours. My typical practice when off-grid was to run the generator for about 30 minutes in the morning to top off the house battery and run the toaster!

I also include $500 of incidental items like hose water filter, leveling blocks, house battery monitor, short and long sewer hoses, two fresh water hoses, Progressive 30amp smart surge protector for campground power post, blank tank cleaning tool, water tank heater rinse tool, and more.

My total investment so far ($ 87,795) includes purchase price ($83,700) and upgrades ($ 4,095). I know the market is lower than when I bought, that's why I've listed it so low.

(Note: The van does NOT have a slide; the RVTrader input form forced me to select 1 or greater.)
