What is the value of a pedigree when it comes to RVs and Travel Trailers? Where was the unit stored? Inside or out? Covered or uncovered? How often was it used? What is the cosmetic condition? Do all of the systems work? How has the maintenance been? This 2017 Grand Design Image 2150RB is the rarified unit that checks every box when it comes to used travel trailers. It was stored inside in a climate controlled environment when not in use, all the systems work like they are brand new, the awning fabric looks immaculate, it doesn’t have any leaks/smells or other defects, the list goes on. And all of this is on top of an incredibly well designed and highly sought after floorplan by a well-considered manufacturer. The only knock against this trailer is that it will need new tires due to age (but they look great and have great tread).

One of the best parts of this trailer is the optimized rear bathroom. With a tremendous amount of floor space, a large shower, and a generous vanity, it surpasses some Class-A diesel pushers and even some residential apartment bathrooms. The driver’s side slide out is small enough that it doesn’t pose a major long term failure risk, but it is large enough to make the combined kitchen and living space feel not just functional, but also comfortable. The front bedroom has storage available on both sides of the bed and being a walk around queen, it makes it easier and more comfortable for two people to get in and out, even if it’s still the middle of the night. With two different sleeping options, this trailer would be great for 2-4 people, and at only 5,300lbs empty, it can be pulled by a half-ton pickup or even a large SUV. 

What stands out about this trailer is how clean and well-kept it is. There are plenty of 9 year old trailers out there, but there aren’t many that you can find that don’t have a water leak, or a bit of wear and tear or some other detractor. Combined with a desirable floorplan, and a great manufacturer to boot, this 2017 Grand Design is worth seeing in-person, or via a live video.
