RV Description
Lance 2075, 2020 model. Spring special price.
Lance 2075, 2020 model, asking $33,000
We came across the Lance name when we searched RV trailer with the best windows. We also were looking for a trailer that had a reputation for solid workmanship, did not have a slide-out, wasnt too big or heavy to tow but that did have a walk-around queen-sized bed.
With a moon window over the bed and two (three if you count the shower) skylights, our 2020 Lance 2075 filled the bill perfectly. However, a couple of years later we would not have chosen a Lance. Not because we dont love ours - we truly do. But because the company has been reducing the number of skylights, and we understand from others on Lance forums that their reputation for quality may no longer be deserved.
Fewer skylights would be a deal-breaker all by itself - but we cant speak with first-hand experience about current quality standards.
What we do know is that our trailer has been a great performer. Weve had it out an average of four months a year for the past several years and it has served us well and faithfully through all of that. Weve had it out nearly every month of the year and there have been no major problems.
Here are a few of the features we especially like:
* Windows. Have we mentioned them?
* Skylights. They open up big, with bug nets, to bring fresh outdoor air right inside.
* Walk-around queen bed. If youve ever had to crawl over your partner, youll understand.
* Bed-side counters/nightstand. This feature, too, may have been eliminated in newer models, at least according to photos weve seen. Theyre very handy and their absence would be another deal-breaker.
* Decent clothes closets either side of the bed.
* Generous under-bed storage.
* Generous kitchen-dinette storage, with spring-closing doors on overhead cabinets, three big drawers for pots/pans/silverware/miscellany. A good pantry and another generous food-storage bin that was advertised as a wine closet. However, its right above the Truma water heater/space heater, so we called it the wine-warmer. It works great for just about anything other than wine (or, say, butter).
* Good-sized fridge for the size of trailer.
* A rear fridge thats perfect for beer and big-fridge overflow.
We took out the rear burner and toy sink from the outdoor kitchen and made a slide-out storage drawer that we love.
Decent storage between the rear fridge and the slide-out drawer.
Great slide-out storage area for tools and other miscellany. We had three plastic bins with lids that fit perfectly.
Tucked-away fold-up table that stores in the tool bin space.
Separate exterior storage space with straps to hold down a generator (we used it for our grill).
Another separate exterior storage space for things such as water hoses, power cord etc.
The two-way blinds/bug nets that can be separated to leave completely open windows.
Two power awnings either from inside the trailer or through a phone-based app.
Power jack on the hitch.
We are also including an Andersen weight distribution/sway hitch that performed excellently with this trailer. We towed with a VW Tourareg, which has a 7,700-pound tow capacity (so we were near the limit, and we never towed with any water on board) - and despite the fact that the SUV was really a little short for this length of trailer, the hitch took care of things and we had no problems - on the open road, towing over the Cascades, or up and down the Oregon coast.
We also have an interior-mount full-trailer power surge protector that hasnt been installed. It wouldnt be a difficult installation for someone whos handy.
Why are we selling? Although we love this trailer and would happily keep camping in it until either we or it gave out (odds are good wed go first), we are moving to Spain and unfortunately cant take it with us.
Make our loss your gain. Give us a call.
