RV Description

The 2021 NUCAMP T@G BOONDOCK EDGE is a functional compact travel trailer designed for adventurers who don't want to lose the "camping" feel. The BOONDOCK trim level adds rugged tires, high clearance, solar panels and other features that make it good for, well, boondocking.

I used this for 2 seasons to set up a base camp for mountain biking, and for sleeping at the start/stop for organized gravel bike races. We're selling because my wife likes to camp but needs a bit more room. Honestly, it's a little tight inside for 2 adults and a 60-lb goldendoodle, but we've made it work. I've taken it as far north as the U.P. and south to Mississippi--and I hardly know I'm towing it behind my Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Some features include: porch light, interior overhead light, reading lights, stargazer window, screens and shades on each window in perfect condition, ceramic space heater and A/C (both require shore power), stereo with AM/FM, bluetooth/USB connections and interior + exterior speakers, several USB outlets (don't require shore power) and several standard outlets (requiring shore power), solar panel charge controller w/ app for monitoring, onboard propane and battery storage in front box, connection port for additional unmounted solar panels.

I've made a few modifications while I've had it. I took out the standard microwave because you can't use it unless you're connected to shore power and we put two baskets in its place to hold kitchen gear (this can be re-installed if you want it). The galley can handle a 12v refrigerator, but it came with an excellent Yeti Cooler which is what I used.

I built and bolted on a platform on the tongue to hold my Solo Stove, which is much easier to fire up and creates much less smoke than a campground fire ring. I found that many places that say no campfires don't object to a self-contained fire stove. (This rack comes off easily or I can include the Solo Stove).

Also, I changed out my Yakima roof rack round bars for an extra long size and I fashioned bike cradles to hold your ride securely. The racks adjust forward-and-back to accommodate your bike frame. FYI, we've put our tandem up there and driven to Leelanau County, MI. and the racks work perfectly.

Some other items included... Curt electronic brake controller, leveling blocks, 3" memory foam mattress topper, two "Ruggable" Rugs that are washer-safe and make the campsite homey, and a sunshade awning that can be attached (not a factory item, and not waterproof, but you could sub a tarp for the sunshade fabric). Clam Venture Quickset screen house in Brown/Tan with rain fly and privacy/wind panels
