RV Description

REDUCED!!! AMAZING 49,685 Mile Texas Rust Free Eurovan Camper with Automatic Transmission.

49,685 documented miles on this van! All original paint in very good condition. Rust free Texas full camper with Extensive Preventative Maintenance and reconditioning work just completed. Seats and sleeps 4, kitchen with dual burner gas stove, fresh water faucet and sink, 3 way refrigerator works on propane, 110 volt shore power, and vehicle 12 volt house battery. lots of storage spaces and a rear cabinet for hanging clothes. All glass, upholstery and carpet in excellent condition,. Full Carfax report validating mileage on the van and some service records from prior owners. Power windows, mirrors and door locks are working. Van runs on regular gas (not premium). Priorities have changed, I have purchased a second home in Colorado, so no longer need the camper.

Extensive Preventative maintenance work performed with less than 1000 miles since work done by Austin VeeDub.  Fresh synthetic oil and filter change on 3/24/26

-New Cam timing belt, with new tensioner and idler pulleys.

-New metal impeller water pump (originals were plastic impellers), with new thermostat and thermostat housing.

-New engine front main oil seal

- Various engine sensors replaced

-All new Sanden Air conditioning compressor, expansion valve and drier. Gets very cold.

-Engine Oil and filter change

-New VW coolant

-New front brake rotors, brake pads and brake hoses

-Brake Hydraulic system flushed

-Fuel tank was drained and cleaned, new fuel pump, new fuel filter

-New spark plugs, ignition wires, distributor cap and rotor.

-New serpentine accessory drive belt and related idler pulley.

-New Secondary Air injection pump, solenoid and check valve.

Other work completed

-All interior panels were removed and re-dyed because they develop a yellow cast to the gray finish over time (all the Eurovan Campers did this).  I updated the gray color to that used in the later 2001-2003 Eurovan campers.

- While the interior panels were out, I updated the power converter for the shore power system to a Powermax 4 stage smart converter/charger

- I also modified the ductwork of the propane heater system to a more efficient insulated single duct (increases the velocity of the heated air, to more readily heat the camper interior)

-The 3 phase refrigerator/freezer propane section was refurbished with a new burner tip, controller  and sensor.

-The struts that hold up the kitchen galley lid were replaced with upgraded versions.

-All of the window shades were replaced with new GoWesty shades.

-Upper and lower mattresses, carpeting and seating were all extractor  cleaned

-Go Westy Lift and Level kit for rear suspension

-GoWesty Rodent block kit for rear flow through vent openings

-Original 15" Steel wheels were replaced with a used set of VW original Camper 16 Alloy Wheels.  They came with some Arizonian radial tires with excellent tread, but they are date coded 2017.  I considered installing new tires (which I recommend) but given I had decided to sell the van once the restoration was completed, and since a new owner might want either off road or on-road tires,....I elected to not install new tires.

- GoWesty replacement antenna

-Propane tank and protective guard repainted satin black, New Propane tank shut off valve and hoses installed AND diamond plate protective plate fabricated and installed to minimize damage from debris kicked up by the front tire.

- Both horns replaced with Fiamm Highway Blaster Horns

-Headlight upgraded to LED, this Made a HUGE difference.

-Front and rear bumpers were faded, both were removed and re-finished with SEM Bumper Coater

This is an excellent driving camper van with ice cold air conditioning. Engine runs smoothly, transmission shifts are smooth and consistent. Bring your mechanic to look at the van, he will be impressed. The 2.5 liter 5 cylinder in this van is known to be generally a more reliable (often referred to as "Bullet Proof") engine than the 2.8 VR6 which are known to have timing chain issues that often destroy the engine. Many of the 5 cylinder Eurovans have 300,000 miles on them and are still going strong.
