If you are in the market for a used truck camper, then you are aware of the benefits of a truck camper over other RVs. You can't beat the "off road" versatility, and for us, the truck camper is considered cargo so no additional insurance or vehicle registration. Depending on your pickup truck, you can also tow a trailer or boat which we did many times.
This Eagle Cap 995 was purchased in 2016 because it had a dry bath (wife request) and a slide out for more space (wife request). It came with a 100watt solar panel and a Onan QG 2500 LPG generator so we made use of camping off grid often (though rarely used the generator).
In summary, everything works and there are no known leaks. The Onan generator has less than 25 hrs, oven and microwave have never been used (I removed the microwave and made a storage compartment but retained the microwave in case new owner wants to put it back in). AC blows cold air, heater, and water heater work like new. We did replace the fridge a couple years ago with a similar model and it works well. Happi jacks work to raise and lower the camper and there is a brand new spare electric motor in a box that I keep in the camper. Water pump works like it did on day one. I do regular maintenance and 90% of the time, the camper is stored in a pole barn.
Like any RV, this one had a few issues when we first took possession but nothing major. I used the warranty period to make note of issues with the manufacturer and request replacement parts. I then made the repairs myself and often fixed a part and kept the replacement part as a spare. Hence, this truck camper comes with a spare Happi jack motor, a new dome skylight for the bath (I repaired the original and have had no problems), and a left tail light (a couple leds were out but original still perfectly functional).
We are looking to sell this camper so that we can move on to something more useful for our growing family. This truck camper is perfect for a couple, small family, or your furry friends. We are pricing it to sell so please refer to NADA pricing guides online to see estimates for this camper in this condition. As for condition, these are the only issues (see pics): rear awning works but material is showing signs of deterioration and has been patched; wood trim around the new fridge could be improved upon, crack in fiberglass upper right corner drivers side (repaired based on industry standards), crack in parking light lens.
Dry weight 3471 lbs. Dually recommended but obviously the new owner is responsible for the truck camper once they take possession. I am willing to deliver the truck camper for a nonrefundable agreed upon deposit paid in advance that would cover transportation costs and time.
