Named after the 17th century Portuguese sailing ship of the same name, the Airstream Caravel is inspired by the ocean and Airstream’s founder Wally Byam’s love of the sea. Caravel is a single-axle travel trailer for those who want to experience incredible adventures in iconic style. Nimble and easy-to-tow, Caravel mixes the best of what a small travel trailer offers with high-end features, luxurious amenities, and beautiful décor. With the Caravel the finishes are a step above the Bambi and Basecamp and include never-lube bearings, ducted air conditioning, upgraded exterior window awnings, chrome bumpers, front rock-shields and more. The Caravel is built for those looking to have the flexibility for both shorter as well as longer term ‘voyages’ on the open road! And at only 3,500lbs dry, you can tow this little guy with almost any SUV or truck. 

This 2024 Airstream Caravel 16rb is in nearly-new condition, plus it includes a few extras and upgrades as well! These include two (2) Battle Born lithium-ion batteries (the industry gold standard), 100W solar, an included weight distribution hitch, and all required hoses and cables, ready to go! One of the stand-out features on this little trailer is the immense rear storage underneath the queen sized bed, which is accessible from both the inside and outside of the trailer. Airstream really does build with an incredible focus on optimizing the floorplans and space usage of their trailers. 

The 2024 Airstream Caravel is the last year that the Ultra-Leather interior covering was used, which makes cleaning a breeze and doesn’t hold dirt, hair and debris like the 2025 model onwards interior fabric coverings. With a 2,000w inverter, this trailer is ready to power all of your 120v appliances while off-grid and is a step up from the more often seen 1,000w or 1,500w inverter’s in previous model years. And with a simple capacitor change-over, even the AC could be run off your large Battle Born batteries with that 2,000w inverter! 

The refrigerator is a convenient and efficient 12v compressor style, the sound system is JBL, the water heater is tankless and on-demand, and you can sleep up to 4 people in this peanut of a trailer.
