MY PERSONAL COMMENTS ABOUT THIS RV:
I am the second owner of this RV. From what I was told the first owner sold because after their first trip they felt that the RV was too small. Evidently they traded in for something bigger. I've owned the RV for a year and a half and truly hate to sell it :-( I'll get to the why I'm selling in a minute but first, here is what I absolutely love about it.
The Gemini is so easy to drive and park. We've gotten so many compliments while pumping gas or coming and going from Wal-Mart to fill up on the essentials before hitting the KOA or Harvest Host spot for the night. It is a beautiful rig inside and out.
The large pass-through storage has been more than sufficient for our small propane grill, fold up chairs, wood for the fire pit, and all the things necessary to hook up. The small exterior cubby by the coach door has been great for the door mat and trash bags.
My most favorite feature of all is in the cab. I absolutely love that sky light. It allows for so much natural light. There is a motorized shade we'd use if it was too sunny while driving or when we store the rig. We replaced the jackknife sofa with two recliners and they are definitely a nice feature over a sofa. Who doesn't want to put their feet up? When the slide is extended there is still plenty of room to get around if one or both of the recliners are extended. I had never installed the table till I went to take the pictures and realized there were many times it would have been nice to use. Upon purchase of the RV I packed it away in a storage unit thinking we'd never need it but having set it up for pictures I see it was a missed opportunity :-(
The overhead cabinets throughout the RV offer plenty of storage as does the closet across from the bathroom where you can hang clothes. The solar panel is awesome! It was so nice to turn on the fridge the night before leaving for it to get cold for household items before pulling out. The gas stove is low profile with a nice glass top cover. It is big enough to handle whatever cooking you need to do but we seldom used it. All our meats were cooked outside on the grill while sides were prepared inside. For those sides I preferred the microwave or a single induction burner that I'd set right on top of the gas stove glass top and plug into the pop up power bank on the counter between the sink and stove. The sink and spray faucet made clean up so easy and again that glass top on the gas stove was a great place to put the dish rack. The cabinets below the kitchen counter easily accommodate a trash can and pots and pans while the cabinet over the fridge offers plenty of room for the extra supplies of paper plates, napkins, paper towel and toilet paper.
The twin beds are comfortable but I did add a single egg crate memory foam to both because they are firm. Firm is good. You can always soften a mattress but there is no easy way to firm up a non-supportive mattress. We set up the king once but never used the twins for a king because we liked being able to sit up, turn, and put our feet on the floor to get up. With the king you will need to slide down and out and after trying it we preferred each having our own twin.
The RV has a great layout inside and out. There is plenty of space inside, and plenty of areas to conveniently charge or use anything USB related. The Ford Transit is an awesome drive. We have challenged this engine and never felt like it couldn't handle the climb up the mountain side. The navigation screen is very easy to use and and see.
Now for the disadvantages :-( While we did try out the beds and shower before buying in May of 2024, my fiancé who stands 6' 2" thought he'd be fine sleeping in the twin on the passenger side as he could hang his feet over. The shower was tight but he felt like he could make it work. The bed and shower have worked but given our plan is to step up the number of trips we take next year, he needs a longer bed and a larger shower. Further, since purchasing the RV, he now has a CPAP. While it is very convenient to plug it in and use it, he is a right sided sleeper so sleeping on that one twin is now less conducive to a good night sleep than it was before the CPAP.
It seems petty to sell over a bed and a shower but for a tall person it makes perfect sense. A good nights sleep and a good shower in the morning are important especially when traveling and for those two reasons alone we've decided to sell. The RV is as clean and new as it was when I bought it last year.
I bought Ford Transit floor mats from Ford and custom made magnetic window covers from Wanderful. The covers were so worth the cost. I still have the thin window curtain that came with the RV but there is no comparison between that curtain and the Wanderful covers. You can put the covers on from the inside and they do an amazing job at keeping out the light, heat, and cold. They also look great on the outside.
