The 40C is powered by a Cummins 380HP Diesel Engine. We decided on getting a diesel pusher for our second motorhome after experiencing owning a gas model. This model has the drive engine in the rear for quieter driving and the generator in the front for better sleeping. We also wanted a washer / dryer for the convenience. We found using laundromats and park facilities a major hassle.

We also picked this model for the increased amount of counterspace. The living area is spacious and comfortable, with a pair of recliners, and entertainment center for relaxing after a long day of exploring.

The bedroom features a comfortable king-sized bed and plenty of storage space for all of your belongings. The rear bathroom is well-appointed with a shower, toilet, and sink, with another half bath in the center of the RV.

Driving the Forest River Berkshire XL 40C is a breeze, thanks to its powerful engine and smooth handling. Whether you're cruising down the highway or navigating city streets, you'll appreciate the responsive steering and excellent visibility. This model also has the Freightliner's V-Series suspension. this is a game changer when it comes to stability on turns and reducing roll.

We have the exact model and with a base Black color unit as shown in the pictures. The only difference is the mid couch was changed to Theatre Seating when purchased new and installed at the factory. In addition, the unit has a satellite dish for automatic searching.

This RV was not smoked in and we have not owned any dogs or cats during our ownership.
