RV Description

This pop-up camper is considerably larger than most you'll see out on the road and has more amenities. Two king sized beds on each end. The bed mattresses can also be electrically heated although we've never used that feature since the base is well insulated and we've experienced temperatures into the 30s. Plus we don't camp where there are hook-ups. Using fleece blankets and down comforters work well. There's a furnace that we used in the mornings to warm up when getting out of bed. There's a slide-out with a dinette and seating. There's a 2 burner stove and sink on a swing level galley. The refrigerator is below the galley and is new as the old one died. There's a couch, an inside shower and a cassette toilet. We've never used the toilet as it flushes with water and we typically camp in more primitive forest service sites or boondock where water is unavailable. We've never used the built in AM/FM/CD/DVD/MP3 player with internal and external speakers as we value peace and quiet when camping. There's a retractable clothes bar inside. A barbecue that can be mounted outside has never been used. Also a retractable awning on the door side that we've never used. Storage: LOTS of it.inside under the dinette seating, under the couch (we put a lot of our food there), in the galley, at the end of the couch, and a huge exterior sliding storage box at the front end. We've used that sliding feature after we set up the pop-up and discovered we needed something from that box. Also, since we didn't use the toilet, we removed the cassette and used that area for storage. Note that I have 2 AGM batteries installed. I had that done because the new frig can run on electric only and we never camp where there are hookups. I also bought a 200 watt portable solar panel to keep the batteries charged but I think that's overkill based on recent trips to Colorado and New Mexico. I have an older 90 watt

solar panel that I can throw in as part of the deal which should be sufficient if you're conservative with electricity use. The 200 watt solar panel with 30 ft extension cord has only been used on 2 trips and cost me $1000 and I won't let that go for any less than $600. I should mention that a tire blowout destroyed the decorative black molding around one of the wheel wells - function not affected. There's also a ding on the right rear corner that I fixed with screws and caulking but it's visible.

Why am I selling? My wife has developed health problems related to thyroid issues and leg vein issues which sap her energy and make hiking painful after a short time and has decided to not go camping anymore. She's 73 and I'm 75. I don't want to go alone with this big pop-up so I want to sell it. I'll go alone but will return to tenting which will also allow me to travel great distances off road in my 4Runner to remote areas.
