Gutted 31 Airstream Project Ready for Your Vision!

1973 Sovereign Airstream

I bought this Airstream thinking it needed just a little love turns out it needed a total gut job! Unfortunately, I dont have the time or finances to take it further, but Ive already put in a TON of the hard work so you dont have to.

I can send you a video of what it looked like when I bought it if youre interested Unfortunately the entire subfloor was rotten among other issues and so we ended up gutting it. After getting into this project I realized that anyone selling a renovated airstream under $60k hasnt actually done the work that needed to be done to deal with all of the issues.

Heres what Ive done so far:

Completely gutted the interior

Removed moldy/rotten subfloor

Scrubbed and treated the trailer frame for rust

Sprayed frame with Rustoleum to prevent further decay

Patched holes in the underbelly

Secured underbelly to the frame

Caulked all exterior trim to seal out leaks

Walnut table top

Countertop

Curved wall pieces for template

Stove (not pictured but I purchased for this project and it fits through the door)

Hot water heater

2 Twin Beds

New Tires (around 100 miles on them)

Interior Aluminum in decent shape
