2008 Winnebago View 24J with only 101K miles for sale for $38,000 Located in Warrenton, Va.

This RV has been our magic carpet to explore most of the lower 48 states in the US and many Canadian provinces. My wife and I have found this RV easy to drive, maneuver, and convenient to park yet with plenty of power to cross the Rocky Mountains or to travel up the Coastal Road in California. We have camped in National and Provincial Parks, state parks (especially in Florida), and commercial campgrounds from the East Coast to the West Coast of the US and north into Canada.

Since we are the original owners and both non-smokers, the interior is clean and in good gently-used condition. Interior lighting has been replaced with LEDs to conserve power and there is a skylight for extra light in the cabin. Other upgrades include a custom mattress on the back bed, a replacement digital TV on an articulated mount, a built-in spice rack over the stove, new smoke and CO detectors, and a new lavatory faucet and plumbing.

There is a powered slide that extends the dinette out with a protective awning. Use of the slide provides extra interior space but there is comfortable passage through the galley and dinette area without the slide deployed. The slide has hand crank for extending and retracting in case of power failure.

The convenient galley has a round sink with wooden sink cover for additional prep space, a countertop, a 3-burner propane stove with range hood, conventional and convection microwave, and opposite the galley a roomy propane/electric refrigerator/freezer. All appliances and plumbing are in good working order as are the heating and air conditioning/fan system, the propane generator, propane/electric water heater, and the bathroom shower, toilet and exhaust fan.

This unit sleeps 5 with the back corner double bed with a privacy curtain, over the cab bunk double bed with a privacy curtain and a ladder for access, and the dinette easily converts into a single bed. The rotating cab seats provide additional seating in the coach. The dinette seats 4 and 2 seat belts are provided with each dinette seat.

There is ample storage with interior under the bed storage, cabinets under the sink and lavatory, a medicine cabinet over the lavatory, drawers under kitchen countertop and stove, and deep cabinets over the sink and countertop, the dinette, and the rear bed. Also, there are a tall closet and deep storage compartments under each dinette seat. The over-the-cab bunk, shower with a clothes hanging rod, and under the dinette table provide additional interior storage.

Exterior storage includes under-bed storage with that can accommodate larger items, a roll out drawer, a compartment for a propane tank, and a compartment with storage of dump hoses with connections for easy access to the gray and black water outlets. All new dump hoses and connectors are provided.

The freshwater tank holds 34 gal., the gray water tank 38 gal., and the black water tank 31 gal The water heater runs on propane or electric. Easy access to 30-amp plug-in and easy to use exterior freshwater fill. New water hoses and pressure regulators are provided. An interior panel provides readings for fresh, gray, and black water levels.

As the original owners, we have had it maintained by Mercedes and Dodge dealers and at 101K miles the Mercedes diesel engine performs like new. Cab upgrades include replacement exterior graphics, 6 new Michelien tires, a new Apple CarPlay unit to replace the cab radio, new headlights, new starter, and new glow plugs. The radiator and fuel pump have been replaced. A backup camera, power side mirrors, power locks, cruise control, comfortable adjustable cab seats, 3-point safety belt and harness on driver and passenger seaters, power windows, cup holders, locking glovebox, USB ports, and door pockets are other cab features.

The side exterior door has an interior door with a screen panel for extra ventilation. Auto extension/retraction steps allow easy access through the side door. Windows in the cabin are Jalousie type with hand cranks for easy ventilation even in rainy weather. The passenger side awning fabric is new and is hand-cranked to extend and retract.

The fuel type is auto grade diesel with a 26.4-gal tank. With an average fuel mileage of 15 mpg, this unit has an approximate range of up to 400 miles depending various conditions. The fuel fill is secure with a new cap. It has had a recent oil change and also hoses and systems checked out a Mercedes dealer. Use of Mercedes engine oil is advised for oil changes.
