This bus was totally rebuilt from the ground up by a master aircraft mechanic/inspector/aircraft shop repair owner for his own use. He lengthened it by 1 1/2 feet. He raised the roof (I am 6 4 and stand up in it easily), put in larger rectangular windows with screens, moved the door to the side and installed a co-pilot seat. He custom built an rv interior with hardwood trim, queen size bed, washer/dryer, shower etc. It has a 180 ? Gallon fuel tank and a switchable 75? gallon tank for the diesel generator. Four air conditioners, two propane heaters (one is in/op but there is a new one) and a backup camera. It has aluminum rims with three year old tires. It has a 12 volt electrical system with 50 amp shore power. The body was reskinned with new original style stainless steel panels.
The engine is a turbocharged Detroit 8v71 with a 5 speed automatic transmission (both were rebuilt) and has a Jake brake. The engine starts easily and runs smoothly.
I had a mechanic look it over to make sure it would be dependable. All belts and hoses were changed, wheel bearings repacked, steering bushings replaced, wheels aligned etc.
