Winnebago RECON Revel 44E

This is not an ordinary Revel! It has been upgraded with over $20K in smart features to enhance your enjoyment and camping experiences. This Revel was first purchased new by Recon Campers to assess designing large Class-B RVs. The Revel chassis was selected as the most-viable and competitive 4x4 van-based camper available to study and improve upon. Winnebago options included air conditioning, offroad wheel package and full graphic delete. The van carries Recon graphics but is in every way, a Revel with significant improvements. Design and professional installation were done to the highest standards using the best materials. As the second owner, this vehicle has 34,800 miles on the odometer and is practically new. Equipped with a powerful and efficient 3.0-liter V-6 turbo-diesel engine, the Revel can handle long stretches of highway driving as well as off-road adventures. The high ground clearance and robust 4x4 system allows you to tackle challenging terrain, while taking you from the beaten path to off grid camping or boondocking in remote locations. The 2022 model was the last year for conventional 4WD which many prefer, before Mercedes Benz switched to all-wheel drive. At under 20 feet, the van fits into spaces too small for larger RVs and its compact size makes it easy to navigate narrow roads and campgrounds.

The Recon modified Revel is both comfortable and highly functional. The comfortable bed accommodates two adults and has been further enhanced with a two-inch memory foam topper. The bed has a power-lift feature which raises it up to create a large accessible garage area below that is ideal for storing camping gear, chairs, etc. The up-front dinette has increased under-bench storage and a removable tabletop. A full wet-bath with a cassette-style toilet and shower, makes it fully self-contained without a black tank. A second hand-held shower is found at the rear of the van. Utilities include a fully insulated 21-gallon freshwater tank and a 21-gallon grey water tank. Continuous hot water is provided from a diesel/electric water heater. The galley features a compressor refrigerator, a built-in induction cooktop, stainless-steel sink with an upgraded faucet and bamboo cutting board cover. RAM Mount tracks are found throughout the van plus a track mount with adjustable straps in the garage for securing RotopaX water containers.

The Recon Revel is ready for all conditions, with additional insulation plus a diesel/electric hydronic heater that ensures you can stay cozy in any weather. The exterior sliding door has a roll-up screen door to block the bugs and provide ventilation, and the convenient magnetic closure makes access/egress easy. The rear of the van is likewise screened and includes blackout panels. A large power awning with full LED lighting lets you relax outside the van while enjoying the sun or stars.

The two 125-amp-hour lithium-ion batteries are charged from the vans dedicated second alternator, the 200-watt solar panels or the 2,000-watt inverter/charger when plugged into shore power with the included 30-amp cable. Numerous 120 vac household outlets (operable from the inverter or shore power) and USB ports to keep your devices charged are located throughout the vehicle. A Honda EU2200i generator (not included) fits nicely in the driver-side rear box and will power the AC when boondocking.

BENCHSEAT STORAGE Additional custom storage compartment under the bench seat made from Baltic birch and bamboo high pressure laminate.

SECURE STORAGE - Keyed lockable-storage area behind the bench seat for security.

CUSTOM GARAGE AREA STORAGE BOX - Custom box build from Italian poplar with aluminum extrusions for corners, four larger storage compartments and two tambour doors for easy access.

OVERHEAD SHELVING - Custom shelf installed to increase storage in over sink cabinet.

PANTRY SHELVING - Custom fully adjustable shelves (5) with tall, anodized aluminum front lips (keeps items from falling out) and full-height adjustable shelf tracks installed.

INDUCTION COOKTOP INSTALLED - The factory stovetop installed and hardwired into the countertop. No more storing the cooktop under the bench seat or the upper galley drawer.

RELOCATED COUNTERTOP EXTENSION - Countertop extension is now mounted below on the galley cabinet face to free up more storage under the bench seat.

HIGH QUALITY KITCHEN FAUCET - Sink faucet replaced with a higher quality unit with a removable sprayer.

LIGHTING UPGRADES - Over the sink light and rear bed reading lights replaced with soft color touch on/off/hold-to-dim lights so youre not blinded by the stock super-bright white, non-dimmable lights.

MAXFAN MAGNETIC INSULATED COVER - Improved with an additional internal custom layer for sound and thermal insulation.

CUSTOM 9-LAYER RADIANT/REFLECTIVE/INSULATING WINDOW COVERS INCLUDED - Front three windows in cab and rear two windows which have much better thermal and acoustic properties than the stock window covers. They also store much smaller space (original Winnebago covers also included).
