RV Description
You will be hard-pressed to find a Winnebago View in better condition than this and this rig is fairly unique in the modifications that have been made to it as it was designed to be able to operate for much longer without a hook-up.This is my second Sprinter-based camper and its been a gem for us giving almost zero problems.I personally think these older Winnebagos are far more reliable based on so many user comments and this rig has been exercised enough that it runs like a top(Sprinters dont like to sit). The View 24J is the most popular version with the corner bed and dry bath. The slide moves the dinette and the refrigerator cabinet out a few feet so the living area feels enormous when it's extended. The upholstery on the drivers and passenger seats truly look like new as we used seat covers the entire time and the dinette benches are the same. Cabinetry is all solid advice and there is very little wear showing except a few minor scuffs and the same with the flooring which has held up really well. All systems are functioning as they should and it's really needs nothing. The water pump, coach battery and front tires and coach battery have just been replaced.I have a full list of modifications and many more photos I'm happy to share. All maintenance has been done and I personally did all the oil changes with synthetic Mercedes-spec oil at 5k mile intervals. All Mercedes recall DEF work has been done and we've only had to replace an alternator, otherwise the vehicle has been problem-free for us.Sprinter engines are known to go into some very high mileage if they're well-maintained and this one has been. Will be including anything useful to the next owners including water fill hose, black water drain kit, tank clean-out fitting, leveling blocks, spare LED bulbs, oil filter fitting etc...
The list of modifications is pretty extensive but the big ones are:
4- 100 watt solar panels on the roof diesel Espar furnace. The solar keeps the battery charged and gives you a lot of flexibility in where you camp and I can't say enough about the diesel heater(super quiet, produces more heat and it's tied into the fuel tank so you don't have to chase propane).
