RV Description

Imported from Japan. All paperwork is in order, clean title. Registered in Texas. Save yourself time and money trying to import it yourself! It is amazing how much it is possible to fit in this compact rig! The length of this campervan is only 16.5 feet. It is slightly shorter than my Dodge Grand Caravan minivan that is parked right next to it on my driveway! The turning radius is amazing! It is better than one in my minivan. I enjoy driving this campervan: sitting tall, great visibility. If you dont mind going slow and operating manual transmission, this camper may be just what you are looking for! It is definitely better than many low-quality RVs that one can currently find on the market. It can be parked anywhere a regular car can park. In addition, it has 4-wheel drive (with manual locking hubs) if you decide to go offroad. Check out some Youtube videos where people are driving these in less-than-ideal conditions. This is a low mileage vehicle that has been maintained. Maintenance records are included.

Mileage as of the day of creating this description: 24,447 miles (=39,344 kilometers). The mileage that you see on the dashboard is in kilometers since the vehicle was imported from Japan. The diesel engine in this vehicle is known to be very reliable and being such a low mileage vehicle, it should serve you for a long time.

It is legal to drive with the steering wheel located on the right-hand side and, overall, it was easy for me to get used to it. The order of the pedals is the same (from left to right: clutch, break, gas). Shifting gears with the left hand was also very easy. Of course, I had some experience driving manual transmission before. If you havent, it may be an adjustment and that is something for you to consider. The only thing that took a bit of getting used to was the fact that turn signals and windshield wipers are flipped, but it is not a big deal.

This is a unique vehicle. I am receiving lots compliments while on the road.

Here are some details:

  • 24,447 miles (=39,344 kilometers)
  • Length x Width x Height =499 cm x 204cm x 304 cm = 16.37ft x 6.7 ft x 10ft
  • Weight/GWeight (from the import paperwork): 2880 kg/3375kg = 6349lbs/ 7440lbs
  • 3.1Liter diesel engine
  • Manual locking hubs on front wheels allow to turn this vehicle into 4-wheel drive
  • Manual transmission
  • 16 wheels (easier to find a replacement), spare wheel attached on the bottom
  • Power windows
  • A wet shower and a Thetford cassette toilet
  • A kitchen with sink and gas cooktop
  • Hot/cold water
  • Propane water heater with tank
  • Heater, cold air conditioning in cab (vents are also going to the back and the camper can be cooled down while driving).
  • Curtains (many curtains were replaced with new ones)
  • A large over-cab sleeping platform that can be folded up.
  • Folding couch
  • A dinette can have several different configurations: two rows of seats with seat belts either facing forward, backward, or each other with or without table installed. The table can be stowed away and the dinette also converts to a sleeping area.
  • Webasto diesel heater is installed in the camper (have not tested it since I was only using it in the summer).
  • Oil was changed a couple of hundred of miles ago, air filter was replaced. Oil filter was still good but I will include a new oil filter that can be changed with the next oil change.
  • Flooring was added in the main area, which can be easily replaced if you like a different style.
  • Several curtains were replaced.
  • A mirror was added to the bathroom door
  • A new shower head was installed
  • A transformer that converts 120V to Japanese 100V will be included in the sale. I use this transformer to charge the motorhome from a regular house outlet. Many people plug in their Japanese motorhomes directly without a transformer and are doing just fine since the voltage is rather close
  • A new deep cycle battery was installed and two vehicle batteries were replaced.
  • 100L fresh water tank. There is an intake that allows you to connect to a water source directly if it is available bypassing the tank
  • Grey water tank (I believe it is also 100L)
  • A Thetford cassette toilet is easy to operate. It has been thoroughly cleaned and a fresh chemical was added
  • An AC repair has been performed. Now, the AC is very cold while driving. The camper portion does not have an AC but the air ducts go from the engine to the back and the house portion of the camper can be cooled down while the engine is turned on
  • A fiberglass body
  • A 3-way refrigerator
  • Roof vents in the main area and in the bathroom.
  • Maintenance records and manuals are included

  • Known issues:

  • A hose connecting the shower drain to the grey water tanks must be replaced. This seems to be an easy fix. I have already purchased a replacement hose but just did not have a chance to do it yet. The new owner will need to take care of that. In the meantime, the shower is completely operational with a folding bucket placed right under the shower drain for water catchment.
  • The exterior vent cover/cap for the range hood air outlet was lost during shipping and needs to be replaced. It looks like this can cost $20 to fix.
  • Water levels are not shown accurately but one can visually see the level of water in the actual fresh water tank since it is semitransparent.

  • This camper was more expensive to purchase from Japan due to its good condition (4) and mileage. Also, shipping and paperwork were not cheap since it is a large vehicle. The AC repair cost me 5K. No lowball offers, please. I am still in love with this rig and selling due to personal circumstances and not having a chance to use it as much as I originally anticipated. However, I may change my mind and keep it for myself.
