RV Description
FOR SALE ... 2008 Bigfoot 25B25RQ All Season Fiberglass Travel Trailer
$32,000
We are the original non-smoking owners.
Call Wayne and Karen at 970-420-8454, or email wayne@baysell.com.
We are private owners not a business.
Located in Fruita, Colorado, 81521, near Grand Junction, Colorado.
We pulled this trailer around the western USA with a 2008 Toyota Tundra V8 truck. It handled this trailer beautifully on highways like Colorados Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park that reaches 12,183 feet in elevation, and northern Colorados Rabbit Ears Pass that includes a 7-mile, 7% grade. We have towed over many very steep and high mountain passes in Colorado and California up to 12,000 feet.
Bigfoot Travel Trailers describes this trailer as being All Season. We never used it in extremely cold weather, but we occasionally used it in temperatures around 20 degrees Fahrenheit without issues.
We worked hard to keep our trailer in tip-top condition, fully intending to travel more, but medical issues interfered with that plan. We hope to find someone who will enjoy and appreciate this trailer as much as we have! Let us know if you have additional questions. We are happy to provide you with more information or photos.
Trailer Exterior
This Bigfoot has a 2-piece fiberglass exterior top and bottom halves fit together like clam shells. We had the fiberglass shell polished in 2024 by a commercial fiberglass company. At that time, we added new Bigfoot logos and graphics. We did not include all the graphics. We like the clean look. If you look very closely at the exterior fiberglass surface, you may be able to see a very faint image left by missing graphics. We felt that having fewer graphics would minimize future issues with damaged or fading graphics.
After hitting a pothole in the pavement and bending an axle, we added new seriously oversized, larger diameter axles much stronger than the original axles for those big bumps and holes you sometimes cannot miss!
This trailer is equipped with a terrific Equal-i-zer sway control hitch that virtually eliminates trailer sway, even in serious cross winds. We can include the hitching system with the trailer if you like, but you should have an RV professional inspect your setup if you do not have adequate experience yourself. You must have your own heavy-duty 2 hitch receiver and safety chain attachment points on your vehicle. Talk to an RV professional for advice on towing if you have never pulled a travel trailer!
There is a small outdoor shower/sprayer with a coiled hose low on the backside of the trailer. There is no enclosure. It could be great for washing dogs!
The original front jack was replaced by an extra-tall electric front jack, making it easier to level or hitch the trailer on uneven ground.
ALWAYS use sturdy wheel chocks on ALL wheels, so the trailer cannot roll when parked.
Front and rear manual corner jacks keep the trailer stable when parked. Be sure to take four square boards to place under the jacks if you are parked on soft ground.
There is NO awning. We have found it can be difficult to control any awning if we are parked in windy places, and after experiencing wind damage to the awning, we removed it. We never missed it. We are sure you can find a new awning if you need to have one. If you do add an awning, tie down the awning corners to heavy ground anchors, and think twice about using it on windy days!
We added a solar charging system to the trailer with a charge controller and 4 powerful deep-cycle 6-volt golf-cart batteries for power storage. These batteries are wired to produce 12-volt power. A pair of efficient roof-top mounted solar panels automatically recharge the batteries when you have adequate light. This allows you to stay off-grid for extended periods. There is a connector near the hitch for adding additional solar panels that you can lay on the ground.
A large optional locking front storage area with two access lids is located between the front propane storage box and the trailer body. Not all 25B25RQ trailers have this feature. You will love the extra storage space it provides. Note: the batteries for the solar system are secured in the center of this storage area. Do not store any metal objects in this area that could contact the battery posts!
A smaller covered area just above the trailer hitch holds 2 propane bottles, and an auto-changeover regulator.
There are two additional locking outside storage compartments. We also mounted a large capacity storage box to the sturdy back bumper. Many trailers have flimsy back bumpers with weak welds that can break if you add a heavy load, but dont add too much weight in back, or you may negatively affect trailer handling.
This trailer also has reflective thermal double-pane windows.
Trailer Interior
Almost new, very clean and very comfortable queen memory foam mattress with a protective cover. You should not need to purchase a new mattress.
We installed a higher quality kitchen faucet, with a water filter. The filter adds weight to the faucet, so we used a Velcro strap to support the filter weight when we were on the road. We can demonstrate how to do this if you purchase the trailer.
4-5 seat dinette (5 with folding chair or lap tray).
Dinette converts to bed for 2 adults.
All dinette seat cushions have been upgraded with high density foam.
There are 2 storage areas under the dinette seats. One is accessible only from the inside of the trailer, and the other compartment from both inside and out.
Bluetooth AM/FM radio, CD/DVD player.
There is a sliding privacy curtain between the living and sleeping areas.
A large under-bed storage area with pull-out drawers.
Very nice bathroom with medicine cabinet, mirror, sink, shower, with upgraded Dometic toilet.
Upgraded Fantastic Ceiling fans and vent covers.
Skylight in shower.
Carbon monoxide, propane, and smoke detectors.
LED low power light bulbs.
The Atwood 3-burner range and oven.
Three-way Dometic 6 cu ft refrigerator/freezer operates on 12V, 120V, or propane.
Additional straps were added to secure the refrigerator/freezer doors while you are on the road. This prevents the refrigerator doors from flying open if you hit large bumps.
The 30,000 BTU Atwood Hydro Flame furnace works great!
We installed an upgraded Atwood Air Command air conditioner.
A rock cover protects the front picture window when you are on the road.
The original sales brochure can be included.
