RV Description

2020 FORD TRANSIT 350 HD HR CARGO
High roof, 148 wheel base, extended (22 feet total length)
3.5L Ecoboost V6 Gas engine
Dual rear tires
Odometer: 81,600 miles

I found the Ford Transit to be very reliable. Its much easier to find a repair shop and to get standard parts. Plus I can park almost anywhere.

This is a long wheelbase (148), extended (22 total length), high roof converted cargo van. I get around 12 MPG in the city and 18+ MPG on the highway.

All components can be removed/modified. The seat belts were professionally installed. Lower cabinets are bolted to the floor. If you wanted to install a shower, you could remove the bench seat. I kept a small foldable bike in the garage.

PETS: Excellent set-up for dogs - easy to regulate the cabin temperature, even in hot parking lots.

SLEEPING: Currently the van sleeps one in an east/west configuration. The length of the bed is about 70, but the walls at the head and foot are soft. A 6 friend slept comfortably. I put cushions on a shelf on the door side to extend the width to about full size.

KITCHEN: Chest fridge/freezer has 2 compartments. Runs on AC or DC. I installed a toaster oven and carry a kettle & instant pot.

TOILET: Composting toilet worked great (didn't use composting feature), and slides under the counter or bed.
