The Jayco Jay Feather 7 17XFD is a lightweight, towable camping trailer designed for ease of travel and comfortable camping. The dry weight is around 3,355 pounds, making it manageable for many SUVs and mid-sized trucks to tow safely. It has a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of about 4,500 pounds and a payload capacity near 1,145 pounds.

This model features expandable tent sections that provide additional sleeping space, allowing it to sleep up to 7 people comfortably. The expandable beds also offer extra storage when not in use. The interior height is about 6.5 feet, providing a roomy feel inside the trailer.

The Jay Feather 7 17XFD is equipped with practical amenities for camping convenience, including an 8,000 BTU air conditioning unit, propane-powered water heater with a 6-gallon tank, and electric drum brakes on the rear wheels. It has a fresh water tank capacity of 25-26 gallons, a gray water tank of 25 gallons, and a black water tank, supporting extended stays at campsites.

Additional features include a power converter, prewiring for air conditioning, cable, heat, and TV antenna, a spare tire, and a keyed-alike lock system for security. The trailer also offers an exterior gas grill, power awning with LED lights, stabilizer jacks, and an exterior TV bracket with electric and cable outlets.
