We ordered this 2020 unit in the summer of 2019, and it came off the assembly line November 27th 2019. It was intended that we keep it for many years, and it has been maintained as if we were going to, but things have changed. We found ourselves always and only taking it to a nearby lake and not traveling. Since we always go to the same place, we have made more permanent arrangements, and our Airstream no longer has a purpose for us. We had a 2009 International prior TO the Globetrotter, so we have almost 15 years of experience with Airstreams.
There is still a balance on our loan, so we are planning to complete the sale using escrow.com. We as the seller will pay all costs to use the service. Escrow.com will pay the balance of the loan and the title will be released to the buyer.
Currently the Airstream is in indoor heated storage in Westmoreland County Pennsylvania and any viewings will take place there. The unit is in excellent condition. There are no issues with the body. It has been maintained using Glare products and the shine is excellent.
Everything works inside and out. It passed PA inspection immediately prior to putting it away for the winter.
The only option this unit was ordered with was the second AC/Heat Pump.
There are only 2 minor issues which I will list here. Having weight on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator while traveling caused the shelf to crack. I reinforced it and put the shelf from below on top of the shelf. This has actually worked better for us, and we have been content to let it be like that. The other issue is with the back-up camera. The mount for the monitor has broken and I just made it so it sets on my dashboard. As most of them do, the camera gets moisture in it. I drilled two holes in it and can use regulated compressed air to dry it out. Then I have bolts to fill the holes.
While the unit was under warranty, we made an appointment for all issues to be corrected at the factory in Jackson Center OH.
