RV Description

2000 Beaver Marquis Jasper and towed 2008 GMC Yukon
Cat C12 425 hp turbo diesel, Allison six sp auto trans, Magnum chassis, 157,000 miles. Purchased with 135,000 miles four years ago to make it our retirement getaway home away from home. Knew it needed TLC. The list that follows is most everything we did within the last three years, most of it within the last 1-2. Rebuilt Olin 10KW diesel gen, rebuilt basement central air conditioning unit, rebuilt cabin (driving) air cond, rebuilt Hurricane diesel hydronic heater, alternator, windshields, headlight assemblies, Michelin XZE tires, Bilstein shocks, rear disks and disk brake pads, four air suspension bags, reupholstered six-way captains chairs with new foam and leather, new curtains, external awnings replaced, backup camera monitor, refrigerator, remodeled shower area, replaced original plastic radiator overflow with steel unit, 6 deep cycle and 2 chassis new NAPA batteries, new rooftop solar panel and controller units, smart flatscreen TV and we're ready to roll. Not so fast - receiving a false transmission temperature fluid overheating signal last fall. Found out there was glycol in the transmission fluid leaked in by the transmission fluid / engine coolant heat exchanger. Replaced the Allison six speed automatic transmission with a new rebuilt unit and new heat exchanger. So now we're ready to roll.

We just completed a five week vacation traveling over 3,800 miles and staying at seven RV parks. Absolutely nothing went wrong with the coach, incredible. Everything works.

Now comes the bad news - I am going to have my sixth back surgery that will render me unable to drive the coach and we made the hard choice to sell.

About the Yukon - 2008 with about 102,000 miles, new Cooper tires, truck is in fantastic condition and meticulously maintained. Oddly, the oil pump in the original engine failed at about 57,000 miles and ruined the engine. So the engine was replaced under warranty with a new 5.3L GM engine (not GM certified remanufactured but new crate motor). So the engine has only about 45,000 miles on it. Everything works. All set up to flat tow with a M&G pneumatic braking system and Blue Ox tow bar setup.
Our insurance calculated the replacement value of the coach to be $81,000. You can find other Beavers for sale for less but not with the incredible amount of work done on ours. In todays market the Yukon, with the tow setup, would bring around $20,000. We are asking $84,900 for the complete setup.
