We bought our Chinook January 2020 From South Carolina - Once in Iowa we replaced the tires and the brakes. We had to disconnect the refrigerator from the propane as we had a leak in the line set. It may be possible to hook that back up. We currently use the fridge on electric power when stationary and DC power when driving. It is in good condition but have to remember it is a 1996. There are parts that rattle here and there when driving down the road. The steering has a little give in it and its not 100% quiet in the cab like newer RV's. However, the Chinooks are fun! They catch peoples attention. Everyone loves to see just how they pack in everything inside the space. They are designed very well and extremely functional. The decals are starting to peel in some spots and we have had a small leak through the AC unit on the roof. The leak is on and off and seems to be less of an issue this summer. Items that need attention:
One of the tires needs a new stem - I have the old one, but it leaks so we took it off

Passanger side door handle doesnt work. have to open from inside - needs fixed

Gas line to the Refrigerator is capped off due to a leak - Runs on AC and DC

Small leak in the AC unit above which has dripped in the past. Doesnt always leak - There is a stain on the table and ceiling stains as well

Horn does not work - needs Fixed. Never worked when we owned.

Has a small battery leak somewhere, have not explored. We unhook the battery terminals when its sitting.

Decals are starting to peel in some areas - The RV was restriped before we purchased. Not original Decals

Not all the running lights up front work - The three top lights do not all work - Also the bottom fog lights do not work. One is cracked

There is a small chip in the windshield.

I know this sounds like a long list! However, it is a 1996 and not perfect. It is very fun!

We bought to work remotely last year. This year is a different story and we are not going to be using it much.
