We’re a couple of boomers downsizing after recovering from health issues. In 2013 we bought this top-of-the-line, California certified, 2000 Winnebago Adventurer motorhome with all the options because we planned to travel out west for extended stays. To assure reliability, we serviced all systems and made some updates, knowing it was a one owner, 13 year old motorhome with 79,000 miles. We fixed any deficiencies we could and replaced many additional components that were subject to fail because of its age and/or mileage. We even bought numerous spare parts, such as belts, hoses, fuses, switches, relays and other miscellaneous parts that remain in the coach if they are needed.This coach is spacious and confortable. There is one slide-out with the sofa and dinette, both fold down into additional beds, which provfides a spacous living area. It includes a washer/dryer and queen bedroom with a built-in chest of drawers and a 6 foot closet for hanging clothes with mirrored doors. It also has a gas oven with 3 burners, a double sink, solid surface counter tops, new microwave, refrigerator with ice maker, slide out pantry, 10 gallon gas/electric water heater, and lots of interior and exterior storage. Unlike most RVs with room mounted AC systems, the heat and AC are ducted from an under the floor unit, just like home. It’s very comfortable, summer and winter. Included are a new LED TV with DVD, satellite dish, sound system, spacious bathroom with shower and separate water closet. It also has hydraulic levelers and an 18 foot patio awning with a metal wrap.This rig can go anywhere with the optional Ford 6.8 EFI V-10 engine and electronic 4-speed automatic transmission. The transmission was rebuilt to ambulance standards and will take you up the mountains.We replaced the front windshield, 4 fixed Thermopane windows in the driver cab, the microwave oven, awning over slide-out, bathroom sink, and all faucets. Lighting was upgraded to long lasting LED where possible, restored the 12-volt battery box, heavy wiring, and installed 3 new batteries.Enhancements include vinyl flooring and new interior hardware throughout.A little TLC and you have a fantastic rig, something you could live in. Remember, older motorhomes are a great value, but they are hardly ever in perfect condition.
