My wife and I have owned a large fifth-wheel, and a Newmar 43' Mountainaire but this Airstream Interstate Nineteen is the best decision we ever made for a travel vehicle. First of all, you can park it anywhere height is not an issue; secondly, it gets 20+ MPG on the road vs 5.5 with the Newmar and 9 with the fifth wheel. It drives like an SUV and the turn radius is unbelievable. The diesel engine has plenty of get up and go as it is the same engine they use in the much larger 24' Airstreams. The bed is extremely comfortable and easy to set up. You would think storage is an issue, but it hasn't been an issue for us and we take two golf bags everywhere we go.
